This Alarm Chronograph watch from Seiko offers a winning combination of business-like design and sporty functionality. The white dial features easy-to-read black Arabic numerals at two, four, eight, and 10 o’clock, and the dial is surrounded by minutes/seconds timing markers and rests inside a one-way rotating elapsed time bezel. Three chronograph sub-dials–minutes at 12 o’clock, seconds at nine o’clock, and alarm at six o’clock–can measure up to 12 hours in 1/20 seconds. The alarm can be set on a 12-hour basis with two small hands, which can also indicate time in a different time zone. A calendar window displays the date at three o’clock. This chronograph’s many dial functions are protected behind a mineral crystal window. Its silver-tone stainless steel 46-millimeter case with gold-tone accents is matched by a 19-millimeter, two-tone stainless steel band, which securely fastens with a fold-over push button clasp with safety. It is water resistant to 330 feet, and is backed by a 3-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. The battery life is three years.
